Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Co-Chairman Bill Bowersock at 6:05pm

Minutes: Motion to approve Minutes of the March 13th Meeting

Treasurer’s Report: Kathy Halbardier presented a balance in savings of $2668.06 (as of March). Checking balance is $1103.39, which includes $300 to 99.1 FM Talk Radio for the Candy Dance remote, $260 to the Chamber for our booth at the Business Showcase, and $110 to the Chamber for our annual member dues; and $1120 total deposits for new member dues.

Correspondence: No current correspondence to report.

Town Report: Lisa Granahan reported that the church repairs are underway for the water damage which occurred in January, and they are due to complete around May 24th. Both the church and the park are going to be connected to county sewer, and that work begins tomorrow. Summer concert series begins on Sunday, June 17th, which is Father’s Day. The other dates are: July 8, August 19, and September 16. Jennifer Hollister is currently working on developing a new website for the town. Candy Dance plans are going well - they are looking for a co-chair for candy making and also a chair for merchandising. The Orchard House will hold the dinner dance again this year, and they are evaluating both music and menu options now. The Annual Road maintenance planning is on the June agenda for the town meeting.

"Business of the Month": Penny Speir was on-hand to discuss her business, Chefalicious. Penny is a personal & private chef with more than 35 years experience in cooking. She has lived in 5 different countries, so has experience with many types of foods, and is also a member of a Personal Chef Network. She is fully insured and federally certified as a food handler. Her business is mainly comprised of finding her own clients, then conducting an interview with them on tastes and any health concerns, and then cooking for them for up to a week at a time. She also does catering for many different sized functions. She loves what she does, and is passionate about the quality of her food. For more info, visit her on the web at: www.chefalicious.com.

Note: Diana & Dwight Borges will be on the agenda for the March meeting to discuss their business, Borges Carriages.
